Spectrum Health Care commemorates 40th anniversary of World AIDS Day

COLUMBIA − Wednesday, Dec. 1 marks the 40th anniversary of the internationally recognized World AIDS Day.

In an effort to raise awareness and promote healthier living, Spectrum Health Care is doing their part in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The medical clinic offers free HIV testing year round for anyone who is unable to offer a donation.

Spectrum Executive Director Cale Mitchell believes the clinic has gotten better at tracking HIV cases locally in recent years.

COLUMBIA- Two full years after being eliminated by No. 9 Florida in 2019, the Missouri Tigers return to the NCAA men’s basketball tournament this Saturday at 6:25 p.m. against No. 8 Oklahoma.

Despite a blistering start to the 2020-21 season, the Tigers faltered down the stretch, compiling six losses in their final nine games.

Moberly opens new runway at Omar N. Bradley Airport

MOBERLY - The City of Moberly held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new runway at the Omar N. Bradley Airport.

The reconstruction project included a total replacement of the airport's main runway, shifting from asphalt to concrete. Renovations were also made to the airfield's lighting system with an upgrade to the LEDs on the runway.

The total cost of the project was approximately $6.4 million. Part of the construction was funded from grants administered by the Missour

From 2020-2022, I served as both the Sports Director and Sports Department Head for MUTV. This organization serves as Mizzou's student broadcasting station on campus and allows for upcoming freshmen and sophomores to learn broadcasting, producing and editing before entering a professional newsroom.
